New Premises

The proposed location for the new Arrahma Islamic Centre is situated on the southern side of Grange Road, Birmingham located amongst 1.86 acres of greenery in comparison to the current industrial site.

The property is well located in a safe environment, within walking distance of Coventry Road (a main street with shops and a lot of Halal restaurants) and with two miles east of Birmingham City Centre. Most of the facilities within the building are readily available. The site is level and contains extensive surfaced car-parking areas together with serene greenery and landscape.

The proposed new location for Arrahma Islamic Centre comprises of an extensive former Care Home and Day Centre. The Care Home is a two-storey configuration while the Day Care centre comprises a single-storey detached building.

The new site is situated next to Small Heath Leisure Centre which has a Games Court, a large football pitch, an indoor swimming pool and sports hall. A close relationship will be established between Arrahma Islamic Centre and Small Heath Leisure Centre that will enable worshippers and those utilising the masjid facilities to make use of the health related activities at the Small Heath Leisure Centre.

The relocation to the Grange Road site will greatly help to provide a ground-breaking variety of religious, educational and social services for the Muslim community in Birmingham. It will also assist in providing a well positioned, safe environment contributing even more to the spiritual, social, and cultural needs of the wider community.
